Abstract

Thesis titled "Influence of Teacher Competence, Parenting Parents and Motivation on Student Achievement Subjects Cultural History of Islam in Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung" was written by M. Nur Huda guided by Dr. Ahmad Tanzeh, M.Pd.I and Drs. H. Nurkholis, S.Ag, M.Pd. Keywords: competence of teachers, parents parenting, motivation, student achievement. The research in this thesis is motivated by a number of teachers who have achieved competency in accordance with the Law on National Education System No. 20 of 2003 Article 39 Paragraph 2. And also mostly elderly, fully devolved on the education of the history of Islamic culture their children to school and to child’s himself. So that makes the low student motivation on the subjects of history of Islamic culture that have an impact on student achievement outcomes. The problems of this thesis are: (1) How does the influence of teacher competence on student achievement subjects the Cultural History of Islamin Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung? (2) How does parenting parents on student achievement subjects the Cultural History of Islamin Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung? (3) How does learning motivation on student achievement subjects the Cultural History of Islamin Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung? (4) How will jointly competence of teachers, parents parenting and motivation on student achievement subjects the Cultural History of IslaminnIslamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung? This type of research used in this research is quantitative research with associative approach. As for the population in this study were all Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung consisted of 31 school institutions. Then using cluster sampling method chosen 4 school institutions with a population of 1153 students. The number of samples based on the table Issac and Michael with a standard error of 5% as many as 272 students. Data collected by questionnaire instrument. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using multiple regressions. The results showed (1) There is a significant relationship between teacher competence on student achievement in Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung indicated value of the t test of significance of 5% (3.840> 1.972). (2) There is a significant relationship between parenting parents on student achievement in Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung indicated value of the t test of significance of 5% (2.920> 1.972). (3) There is a significant relationship between motivations to student achievement in Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung indicated value of the t test of significance of 5% (2,314> 1,972). (4) There is a significant relationship between teacher competence (X1), parenting parents (X2) and motivation (X3) on student achievement (y) students in Islamic Junior High School Private in Tulungagung shown on the F test significance value of 5% (11,975> 2.65).
