Keywords: Kumon Course, Curriculum Development, Teaching Strategies, Learning Materials, Learning Media, Evaluation English is one of the subjects taught in schools. Besides that, English is one of the abilities that students must master to be able to compete in this global era. English is often seen as a difficult subject. With the high standard of mastery in English subjects, parents want to increase their learning time outside school hours. Parents of students wish to be able to provide quality English education outside of school, so that students can get good grades in school and of course can apply their English language skills in life. So many parents choose to place their children in the Kumon Course Tulungagung, which is known for its motto, "beyond grade level". The formulation of this research are: 1) How is the development of the curriculum in learning English at Kumon Course Tulungagung? 2) How is the strategy for teaching English in Kumon Course Tulungagung? 3) How are the English learning materials used in Kumon Course Tulungagung? 4) How is the English learning media used in Kumon Course Tulungagung? 5) How is the evaluation of English learning in Kumon Course Tulungagung? The objectives of this study were to: 1) Know the development of the English learning curriculum in Kumon Course Tulungagung. 2) Knowing strategies for teaching English in Kumon Course Tulungagung. 3) Knowing the English learning materials used in Kumon Course Tulungagung. 4) Knowing the English learning media used in Kumon Course Tulungagung. 5) Knowing the evaluation process of learning English in Kumon Course Tulungagung. The design of this research is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were English tutors and the chief of Kumon Course Tulungagung. Researchers used interviews, documentation, and observations as research instruments. Data analysis in this study is to classify data, data reduction, data display, and final conclusion by triangulation which is used to obtain saturated data. The result of this research is that Kumon Course Tulungagung uses the same curriculum as other Kumon branches in Indonesia. Kumon Course Tulungagung was not given the authority to change the existing curriculum. Kumon Course Tulungagung only uses the existing curriculum which includes study time, number of meetings, learning methods, learning materials, learning media and learning evaluation programs. The Kumon Course Tulungagung tutor uses a teaching strategy in which students do their worksheets themselves everyday. Tutors will only help students if students have difficulty understanding the material or working on worksheets. Previously, students would get English learning material according to their level of ability, where in the determination before students took English learning at Kumon Course Tulungagung, students would take a starting point placement test so that if students learn with material they have mastered, students will learn more easily. The learning materials at Kumon Course Tulungagung are sourced from EFL textbooks and CDs. English learning materials at Kumon Course Tulungagung are in the form of reading, listening, and speaking materials. The English materials at Kumon Course Tulungagung are the same as the English learning materials in schools. The learning media used at Kumon Course Tulungagung are in the form of worksheets, EFL textbooks, and CDs. Each media has its own function, for worksheets to function as a means for students to spell out practice questions, textbooks contain material in the form of many types of reading text and images to support students' reading and speaking skills, and CDs contain audio narrations from EFL textbooks to hone skills hear students. Before working on the worksheet students must read or listen to instructions from a textbook or CD. Meanwhile, the English learning evaluation program in Kumon Course Tulungagung is to do the TPP at the end of each level. TPP is carried out to see students' abilities and to determine whether students can move up to the next level. If the student has reached the highest level, namely level O, then the student will take the test to become a completer. Completer is the end point of learning in Kumon Course Tulungagung. The conclusion of this research is, Kumon Course Tulungagung is an educational institution in the form of a franchise where as a branch of the central Kumon, Kumon Course Tulungagung is not authorized to change or develop the existing curriculum. This is intended to maintain the quality of education in Kumon itself, as well as to equalize the quality of Kumon Tutoring institutions throughout Indonesia. Kumon Course Tulungagung students are also students who are disciplined with study time and diligent in doing assignments because they are used to working on worksheets every day. With a variety of media, it makes students enjoy learning English more, which makes it easier for students to understand each material being taught. The latter, with a gradual evaluation system for each level, will keep students motivated to be able to reach the next levels to become completer and be able to first understand the material to be taught in school.
