Key Words: Writing Ability, Give One Take One Strategy, Report text Writing skill is one of English communication skills that used to gives the information and express their feelimg in form of writing text. Writing is one of English language skill that should be mastered by the students to convey their ideas. Writing one of difficult subject forthe students because its contained a lot of substances such as grammar, panctuation, vocabulary and spelling. Based on each function, written text was distinguished in to the some kind of texts such as discriptive text, narrative text, exposition, procedure, report text, recount text, etc. There are a lot of type of written text based on each fungtion. Report text is one kinds of the text that should be learned by the students. Report Text is one of text type that presents an information about something in the general term. One of the students’ problem in arranging a good report text is less of the learners’ ideas to developes their basic knowledge. Therefore, the teachers needs to find appropriate strategy in teaching writing of report text which able to improve students ability in creating clear content to arranged report text clearly. One of the appropriate strategy that able to to hel the students find many ideas is give one take one strategy. By using give one take one strategy the students can share their basic knowledge about something to support each other in arranging report text.In perfious study this strategy was effective implemanted on reading comprehension. This study was conducted to verify whether the used of give one take one strategy is effective to improve students’ writing ability of report text or not. The purpose of this study were to find out whether there is an improvement of the students’ writing ability of report text after taught by give one take one strategy. The formulation of research problem in this study is “Is the implementation of Give One Take One Strategy effective in increasing students’ writing achievement of report text?”. This study belong to quantitative research in form of experimental design by using one group pre-test and pos-test. The researcher took eight grade students of Junior High School as the population of this study. The sample of this study were the students of VIII B at MTsN 2 Blitar. The instrument of this study was in form of writing test by giving the instruction to the students in pre-test and post-test. In this study,the researcher conducted three steps of research to collecting the data there were: pre-test, treatment and post test. The data gotten from the research analyzed by using paired sample T-test processed by using IBM SPSS statistics 16. The finding of pre-test and post-test showed the difference of the students’ score of writing an report text before and after implemented the treatment. In the pre-test there were 2 of 30 students got very poor score with the scale 6,7%, 20 of 30 students got poor score with the scale 66,7%, 8 of 30 students got got good score with the scale 26,6% and no one got exelent score. Which in the post-test there were 8 of 30 students got poor score with thw scale 26,7%, 34789the posttest 8 9 of 30 students got good score with the scale 60%, 3 of 30 students got very good score with the scale 13,3% and no one got very poor and exelent score. From the data gotten can be concluded that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. It means that the students’ score of writinng report text after taught by using give one take one strategy were increeased.
