Keywords: Effectiveness, Schoology and Scaffolding, Students’ writing achievement on analytical exposition text. Writing is activity that supports enough in communication especially in daily life’s. But as we know, express idea and opinion for written is complex activity, especially for the students. It caused, there are many components in writing, like as; content, language use, organization, mechanic (spelling, punctuation, and capitalization) and vocabulary. Therefore, to writing the students’ needs steps to make an excellent writing, from planning, drafting, editing, and final draft. Furthermore, the teacher is still using conventional method for teaching writing. It caused the students get bored and low motivation to learn writing. So, many students get low achievement in writing. Because of that, the teacher should have a good technique and media to teach writing analytical exposition text. In this millennial era, many technologies and media which can be applied the teachers’. One of those technique and media are scaffolding technique and schoology media. Schoology is platform that designed for education. The platform of schoology media is like social network that students usually use, so it easy to be access the students. Besides, the using of media also needs technique for learning process. In this study, the researcher combines with scaffolding technique. Scaffolding technique is technique to tutoring or assists the students learning. Considering of the students’ low achievement, the researcher wanted to carry out this study to explore the efficiency of using schoology media with scaffolding technique on students’ writing achievement analytical exposition text of eleventh grade students at MAN 1 Trenggalek. The formulation of research problem: Is there any significant difference in students’ writing achievement on analytical exposition text who are taught by using schoology media with scaffolding technique and conventional learning of second grade students’ at MAN 1 Trenggalek? Based on the formulation research problem, the purpose of this study is to find out the significant difference for students’ writing achievement on analytical exposition text who are taught by using schoology media with scaffolding technique and conventional. To support this study, the researcher used quasi-experimental research method to achieve the researcher objective. The populations of this study were all of eleventh grade students’ at MAN 1 Trenggalek. The samples of this study were IPS 2 class (36 students) as control class and XI MIA 4 class (34 students) as experimental class. So, the totals of sample were 70 students. The experimentalix group was given schoology media and scaffolding technique in writing analytical exposition text. But, the control class was not given schoology media and scaffolding technique in writing analytical exposition text. There were fourth meetings for control and experimental class including pre-test and post-test. To computes the numeric data, the researcher used SPSS 16.0 version for windows. The output of this research showed that there was a significant difference on the students’ writing analytical expositions text ability using and not using schoology media and scaffolding technique. It could be seen 83.00 mean score of post-test in experimental class and 75.00 mean score in control class. It meant that the mean score of experimental class was higher than mean score in control class. Moreover, the output of statistical computation showed that the significant value is 0.000 which was smaller than the significant level (0.050). It meant that, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. So, it can be sum up that schoology media and scaffolding technique was successful and it can be apply as an option technique and media in teaching writing analytical exposition text.
