Abstract

Amik Nadziroh, NIM. 12505174005, “Strategies for Strengthening Religious Culture in Forming Character Students (Multicasus Study at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang)” Department of Teacher Education Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Graduate Program, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor by Dr. Prim Masrokan Mutohar, M.Pd and Dr. Ngainun Na’im, M.H.I Keywords: Strategies, Character, Religious Culture, Learners The quality of education must be equipped with indicators of religious values that are internalized in students. Starting from that, it is very urgent for educational institutions, especially elementary school education to integrate religious values into students by using customs through religious culture. More education is dominated by the development of learners from the affective aspects, which are more inclined to the formation of attitudes or character of students. Effective religious culture is the values of trust, and action as a result of mutual agreement generates the commitment of all personnel consequently and consistently, therefore culture schools have a major influence on the implementation process of character education. The focus of this research is (1) How is the approach for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang ?. (2) The method for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang ?. (3) The technique for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang ?. (4) The evaluation for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang ?. The purpose of this research is (1) To explain the approach for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang. (2) To explain the method for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang. (3) To explain the technique for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang. (4) To explain the evaluation for strengthening religious culture in forming character students at Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang. The research method, this research uses a qualitative approach with the type of multicasus, the location is in Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 and Islamic Elementary School Al-Ma’arif 02 Singosari Malang, the data source is Principal, Student Waka, Homeroom, Habitual Teacher, and Students. Data collection is participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation. Data analysis through analysis of individual case data, and cross-case analysis. The validity of the data is obtained by an extension of observation, perseverance in practice, triangulation, peer discussion. The results of the research: (1) The approach used is the religious approach, habituation approach, individual approach, and group approach. (2) The method expected is: Gabriel method, Al Hisan method, Qiro’ati method, habituation method, exemplary method, coaching method, conversation method, and punishment and reward method. (3) The technique used is sourced and born from the method applied. Jibril and Al Hisan methods (done with at takror and at ta’wid), Qiro’ati method techniques (imitating, reading, entering and practicing), habituation method techniques (done repeatedly and become habits), exemplary techniques (the teacher becomes main figure in character building, creation and distribution of General Skills Requirements books), coaching method techniques (holding routine events by bringing clerics who are competent in their fields), conversational method techniques (making posters, regulations, giving messages and motivation before the change of class ), punishment and reward methods (providing deterrent effects by saying istighfar 100 times and red on SKU, rewards are given trophies and charter for students who are active at the end of semester II) (4) Evaluation applied is individual evaluation through written tests, oral, deeds. Group evaluation through observation and direct observation to students. In this research theory the reseaecher reinforces the theory of behavior with the charecters in it such as Thorndikee, Skinner, and Pavlov.
