Keywords: Correlation, anxiety, anxiety level, speaking performance Feeling anxious, worry or fear in foreign language class is belongs to the psychological aspect. This aspect can influence the successfulness of the students in learning speaking a foreign language. When the students have a high level of anxiety may become a difficulty to improve their ability in speaking and also reach the target language. The formulation of this research was: Is there any significant correlation between anxiety level and the students’ speaking performance of the tenth grade students at MA Mujahidin Ngadiluwih Kediri?. Based on the formulation of the research problem, the objective of this study was to find out whether there is a significant correlation between anxiety level and the students’ speaking performance of the tenth grade students at MA Mujahidin Ngadiluwih Kediri. On taking the sample, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique. In this study the researcher take the X-B class which consist of 20 students as the participants. The research design of this study was a simple correlation design with quantitative approach. In order to collect the data, the researcher used two kinds of instruments. The first is FLCAS questionnaire which adopted from Horwitz. The researcher takes a 30 items with a 5 Likert-scale to measure the students’ level of anxiety in the foreign language class. The second is students’ speaking test. The researcher did not conduct a test, but the data is taken from the English teacher. In measuring the correlation between the two variables, the researcher using Pearson of Product Moment of the IBM SPSS 21.0. The finding of this research showed that the result of the calculation between anxiety level and the students’ speaking test is .185. Based in the interpretation the r value .185 is rated between 0.00-2.00. It means that there is a positive correlation between the two variables. From the significance (2 tailed), the writer get the score .436. It is bigger than 0.05, so Ho cannot be rejected. It means that, there is no correlation between the two variables, anxiety level and the students’ speaking performance of the tenth grade students at MA Mujahidin Ngadiluwih Kediri Academic year 2018/2019.
